The whole one-way wormholes always annoy me because there's so much plot potential in making them two-way. Ah well.

There might be a fun scene later on, on Earth, as the SGC sees Adam Pierson, does a double take, and goes, "wait, weren't you, um...?" And Methos looks back, blinks his eyes innocently, and goes, "what? Do I know you?" Joe is probably in the background smacking himself on the forehead.
