I have this idea that the Native American cultures are a bit more aware of immortals than other cultures. They still have a healthy respect for the supernatural.

There's probably a few tribes that routinely act as way stations for immortals changing identities.

Kids on the reservation are raised knowing that immortals exist, but also knowing that it's rude to discuss them with outsiders. And outsiders wouldn't believe them anyways.
