Methos isn't really ideal either though. As recently pointed out in the "Methos goes to jail" thread, he couldn't even convince his brothers to stop killing. I think that if Methos was taken, he'd only awaken the aliens one by one, if he thought he could control them, until he has enough people to help him escape the planet. Of course, he'd also have to keep whoever he awakened from killing all the other aliens still in stasis. Or maybe he could rehabilitate them, but it would take quite a while, as he'd have to be sure that the currently awake aliens were rehabilitated before waking up another one.

I'm not sure if Sean Burns was in any other episodes, but I have to wonder about the Asguards' cloning technology. From what I've read in fanfiction, they used to kidnap people, leave behind a clone with all the memories of the original, and then transfer any new memories to the original when they returned him or her. If they're already cloning Immortals as babies, could they also clone them as adults? Maybe a clone would have a Quickening only equal to the original's and not including any heads the original has taken?

Perhaps the Asguard have been cloning any Immortals that they deem a success and keeping the clones in stasis with regular updates of memories, hoping to someday get enough that the rehabilitation team would actually have a chance of succeeding instead of being killed by the alien Immortals they awaken. When the Asguard decided to commit suicide, they also went ahead and left all the accumulated clones with the stasis pods. So Darius and Sean Burns could have been cloned. Maybe they brought Mac's clone, or they might have decided that it's a bad idea. They probably brought Methos, either cloned or original, both for his track record of getting along with headhunters and for his various skills which the rehabilitation team might find useful. Of course, this all depends on how the cloning of adult Immortals works. After all, Darius was pretty violent before he took the Light Quickening.
