I can't remember my history well enough to say for sure, but wasn't Duncan raised in the time when lay persons weren't supposed to read the bible, they were just supposed to believe whatever the priests told them? So maybe someone needs to sit Duncan down and have him read the bloody thing. Even the NC-17 parts, of which there are quite a few.
