hmm. Who were you thinking of? Because it has to be someone tricky enough to set up the scenario but not quite able to pull it off completely. (My stand-by immortal is Methos but I like to write him as uber-competent.) Although--thinking outloud here--it might be interesting to have the recluse be an old-Methos persona and the heir be a surviving Richie, and the whole set up be a learning experience for a new immortal to figure out how to switch identities. Which might explain both the elaborate set-up AND the occasional mistake. What do you think?
