A brand new fandom: White Collar

My TV gets two channels. One of those is in Spanish (which I really should learn at some point, or rather should have learned at some point long since, but I haven't yet.) Thus, I don't watch a lot of TV and I'm not real up to date on the new shows that come out. Thus, when I hear references to White Collar I assumed it was another drama such as Mad Men perhaps or one of the many dramas set in law firms--not really my thing.
Then Yuletide came around. (Yay!!!!)
And I read a fabulous Leverage fic: Yang.
That then directed me to its companion fic: Yin, which is a White Collar fic, and suddenly I have a whole new TV show track down and watch.
Did I mention that my TV only gets two channels? Almost all of my TV watching is via DVD, and White Collar isn't out that way yet. Aargh.
However, the internet is still my friend, and I discover that USA shows full-episodes on their website. And currently (over the holidays) I'm at a place with fast enough internet to make watching video this way something other than a masochistic experience. So I have seen my first episode of White Collar: Free Fall.
First impressions are:
a) Wow, am I sure that Neal Caffrey isn't played by the same person as did Dr. Simon Tam of Firefly? Yes, as it turns out, they are different actors, but wow, both beautiful with intense eyes and looking so, so sincere. Heh.
b) Whatever the Kate plot-line is, it's totally unnecessary.
c) Wow. Just, wow. With a side-order of Yay! This is so much fun. It's sort of like The Stainless Steel Rat.
Fun, fun.
