and Bond would just say something like "have you seen a white male, tall..." and Adam (or what name he would be using) would interrupt and say: " about 6.3, brunette with a birthmark on his right hand and a scar on his left brow?"

"Nope, doesn't ring a bell"
To which Bond would reply, "okay then" and when questioned later just say that he had from a reliable source that that men was not someone to be pissed of and that agent 005 and his target were very likely dust in the wind...
While thinking that "Matthew" really did look well, and maybe the original M might have a point about retiring... those new agents don't know the dangers that the world really presents
and i agree the guys are chasing rooftops in Mexico city there is a chance that he is going to get into a gang's apartment or crash a game of poker he really didn't want to interfere
